Knowing how to lose weight is often hard with so much information being shown to us on TV, through magazines, and online. Much of that information is misleading and can actually make you fatter. That’s why I’ve written here 10 simple diet rules which can help you lose weight fast and keep it off.

Diet Rules that Work

1. Eat more often – That’s right. Eating more often is better for weight loss. I don’t mean to eat too much. I mean to eat many small meals and snacks and not settle for just 3 large meals. It helps to keep your metabolism running high.

2. Drink water – Being dehydrated causes the body to work less efficiently. It also makes you hunger for no reason. An important weight loss rule is to drink your fare share of water. I recommend 8 glasses each day.

3. Be active – This doesn’t mean you need to be a gym slave. Just make sure you’re not sitting down for hours on end at your desk or in front of the TV. Take a walk once a day, do some stretches, climb some stairs, anything you can find to move your body.

4. Forget about fast food – Fast food is bad food. You don’t want to know how much oil goes into that. Of course, if you can’t cut it off completely, make sure to do it in moderation.

5. No more sugary sodas – If you’re going to eat, make sure it will fill you up at least. Sugary sodas fill you up with calories, but you don’t feel full at all. This means that all those calories will just add up to what you eat, making you fatter. Drink fresh juice and water. It’s much better than soda.

6. Sleep 7 hours each night – Sleep is very important for your body to function properly. It also helps to keep the metabolism running high. I recommend 7 hours each night.

7. Eat fresh – You can either buy fresh food that is 100% natural or buy pre-made food that has chemicals and additives. Which do you prefer? A rule of diets that work is that when you eat fresh, your body reacts positively by running better, burning more calories, and remaining healthy.

8. Remain motivated – Diet motivation is an important thing. It can help you stay focused until you lose all the weight that you want. I recommend setting mini-goals, weighing yourself no more than once a week, and getting a weight loss buddy. Above all, remember that this is a journey, not a single step.

9. Eat fruits and veggies – Fruits and veggies are the perfect snack. I don’t even count how many I eat each day. Make sure to eat different kinds each day, add them to each meal, and replace candy and unhealthy snacks with them as your food between bigger meals.

10. Choose a reliable weight loss plan – This is very important. You want a plan that is simple, doable, and reliable. Something that has worked before and will likely work for you too. I recommend the Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet myself, but it’s your decision.

just keep thinking about your goals. if ur eating obsessions occur outside, then dont keep too much money in ur wallet. plan out about how much ur gonna need to buy w/e u wanna buy and the lunch u might have outside. if u put too much extra money in ur wallet, u’ll want to spend it on food. also when eating outside, try to have a friend there with you to remind u to eat as healthy as possible. try eating less, but more often. have a light breakfast: a banana or apple, milk, sugarless cereal(cheerios, toasted oats, corn flakes, etc., NO FROSTED FLAKES OR FRUITY LOOPS or anything of that kind) or a low fat muffin. And have a simple lunch. Lunch isn’t like dinner. Have a yogurt and fruit or have a salad(not a huge one). On salads, dont put fattening dressings like ranch. Try some balsamic vinaigerette. Even caesar! Dinner shouldnt be a feast. dont wait until ur really full to stop. leave at least 1-2 hrs between dinner/dessert and bedtime. dont eat too late and dont go to bed too close to the last time u eat. not healthy and easy to gain weight. Think about ur hobbies(that doesnt revolve around food). try some sports. if ur not a chasing a ball kind of girl, then try track. its fun, fast, and good exercise. make sure u dont starve urself and make sure ur not too hungry/too full. do a lot of walking, not a lot of sitting around. if there r escalators and stairs, take the stairs! take the escalators(and walk up) instead of the elevator! think of ur favorite things to do/movies/books/friends instead of food. be strict with urself, dont say “oh it’s just one time. i’ll have a donut/candy/cake/etc.” it willl mess things up. so good luck and have fun with ur new to-be bod! btw, when it comes to drinks, choose water. no sweets!
